Remo G. Baroni

South Beloit, IL

Remo G. Baroni age 83 died Wednesday September 23, 2009 at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton under the care of Beloit Regional Hospice. Remo was born August 16, 1926 to the late John and Maria (Buti) Baroni in Italy. He married the former Corinne Gannon in May of 1952 in Chicago. She preceded him in death in 1987. Remo enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served his Country until his honorable discharge. He worked as a sheet metal layout worker for many years in Franklin Park, IL until his retirement in 1991. Remo enjoyed gardening, planting bushes and trees and generally working outside. He adored his wife and children and always put his family first. His grandchildren were everything to him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his three sons, John (Heather) Baroni of Nashville, TN and their daughter, Corinne, Michael (Barbara) Baroni of Decatur, IL and Daniel (Elizabeth) Baroni and their four children, Bridget, Frank, Cally & Jake. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Corinne.

Remo’s Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 26, 2009 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3100 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.

The family would like to thank the staff at Alden Meadow Park for the care and compassion they gave Dad.
