Berl O. Wildermuth, 98, of rural Clinton, WI, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, in Harbor House, Clinton, WI.  He was born February 12, 1911 in Fargo, N.D., the son of Jerome and Ava Dutton Wildermuth.  Berl and his family moved to Aurora, IL where he attended and graduated from high school.  He married Ellen Dutton February 20, 1937 in Rockford, IL.  She died in July of 1970.  He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1939.  He became a farmer and a herdsman at a dairy in Georgia before moving to his farm near Clinton in 1941.  Berl married Helen Wallace on April 4, 1972 in Belleview, Florida in her parents home.  He was a member of the Turtle Grange and NFO and President of Wildermuth Farms, Inc.  Berl enjoyed farming, golf, biking and traveling in his RV.  In his retirement years, they wintered in DeFuniak Springs, FL.

Berl is survived by his wife, Helen; his son, Robert (Anita) Wildermuth of Clinton, WI; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Harbor House and Beloit Regional Hospice for the care and compassion given to Berl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ellen, an infant daughter, three brothers and their wives, Rolney and Olive Wildermuth, Loren Wildermuth, Orliss and Betty and Polly Wildermuth; two sisters and their husbands, Doris and Charles Houser and Avela Nelson and Bill McKee, and in-laws Dr. Herb and Nona Dutton and Darl and Milton Smith.

Berl’s Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009, in the SCHOENFELD - MARK Funeral Home, 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton, WI with Ted Niehaus officiating.  Friends may call Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.  All are welcome to enjoy a light lunch with the family after the service in the Funeral Home.
