Muriel Pecotte age 82 of Clinton, WI, died Thursday March 19, 2009 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born December 6, 1926 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John and Lydia (Bueker) Prazak.  She married Keith Pecotte on March 31, 1977 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2006. Muriel was a lifelong resident of Clinton. As a young adult, Muriel assisted her parents on their family farm. Remarkably, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1948 from the University of Wisconsin and completed her education at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1951. She worked tirelessly for nearly 60 years as a local Attorney and was well known as an excellent & tough but fair lawyer. Muriel was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and member of the Rock County & Wisconsin Bar Association. She was active with the Twentieth Century Club, Eastern Star (Floral Chapter #108, Clinton) and the Women of the Moose (Chapter #100, Harvard)

She is survived by her daughter, Aileen Geffs of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Keith.

Muriel’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 23, 2009 at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 312 Church, Clinton with Reverend Neddy Astudillo    officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 10:00 until the time of service. The cortege will process to Clinton Cemetery for interment.
